The Golden Slimer has a great sweet flavor. This strain is a result of mutation of a 7 Pot Slimer, a commonly green pod with darker hues of green or mustard. The 7 Pot Slimer was originally created by John Ford and called the 7 Pot Rust. Kevin Bane then stabilized it into the color and shapes they are today. This gold variation emerged in August 2019 in Monster Peppers grow season and the mutation has been staying true ever since. This mutation consists of golden hues when fully ripe. Although, there is a chance that it will give off phenos resembling its original parent pod. The phenos of slime-like appearance, folding in on itself, makes it a unique decorative pod. As these pods grow in size, the folds will shrink or spread outward. These folds and the shape of the pods so far has been random but are a very common trait with the Golden Slimer.
