This pepper by Kevin Bane, is an extremely rare variety that most growers don’t know of its true origin. There are many look-a-likes but the result of this strain in particular is from a mutation of the Peach Bhut Pepper. These pods grow with no uniform phenotype, so many of the pods will grow into a variety of contorted shapes and sizes. The Contorted Coco plant produces many flowers throughout the growing season. These chocolate pods can get pretty massive and pack a decent amount of heat with every bite, while still being very sweet with a slight flowery hint and no bitterness. Pods can easily grow to weight about 20g and have even gotten as heavy as 30g.
